SPRING/SUMMER 2017 FASHION TREND SEEN THROUGH ROSE TINTED GLASSES
Be warned, this season you will see fashion through rose- tinted glasses
The trend is pink, as in candy pink, baby pink, deep cherry and raspberry, so let your true pink shine through!
A less conformist option, comes from the Paris Catwalk, where a rather SHOCKING PINK appears to be the topnotch choice of colour for the the s/s 2017 season : FUCHSIA.
The House of Valentino directed solely by Pierpaolo Piccoli has, with grace and elegance combined the vibrant FUCHSIA with Red for the ready -to -wear fashion show.
Indeed, in a magical combination, Piccoli has blended red with shades of pink.
In short, surprise is the password for this season’s fashion.
So why not try mixing our rich- looking Scarlet sandal with some fabulous practical daywear or most certainly with some diaphanous fuchsia dresses?
We think it’s always a matter of taste.
Barbie – not just a doll!
If you landed on Caprissima.com home page, and noticed that amongst our list of art and fashion exhibitions that we love, there is a poster of BARBIE, please don’t be shocked!
You will probably ask yourself what does Barbie have to do with art and fashion?
Her real name is Barbara Millecent Roberts, but we all know her as Barbie.
From 1959 to this day, she has always been a global icon, and had a huge impact on the lives of countless children.
From a glamorous teacher to a sophisticated doctor , Barbie has managed to interpret at least 130 professions. Her wardrobe is the envy of all dolls, women, and young girls. She has represented almost every nationality on the planet , and annihilates any cultural or social barrier. In few words she has always been the ultimate woman!
The MUDEC museum in Milano is hosting an exhibition curated by Massimiliano Cappella, in honour of Barbie from October 28th to March 13th 2016. The aim of this exhibition is to tell the story and evolution of the Twentieth Century woman , her life and her wardrobe.
It is then understandable why Barbie has been a proven source of inspiration and a muse not only for young girls but also for some designers.
Zuhair Murad, the red carpet favorite designer, has recreate for Barbie a stunning haute couture gown worn by Blake Lively in 2012 at a premier. Making Barbie , the red carpet’s most beautiful Hollywood star.
It was not too long before Barbie moved from haute couture to ready to wear. Jeremy Scott, creative director of Moschino, has officially teamed up with Mattel to produce a capsule collection of clothing for the favorite doll. The collection includes graphic-t-shirts that read “The Most Moschino T-Shirt ever” along with tight leather pencil skirts, mesh tights, chain-straps, leather handbags, glitzy, over the top gold jewels, ankle-strap pumps ,and of course, a padded black moto-jacket.
That is not all, Barbie would not be the only one to wear this collection. A version of the Moschino Barbie T –shirt and handbags are now produced for humans too and have been retailing since November 9th, 2015 .
